Following the new rules set out for the reoccurred, there are a number of other things that characters will start noticing in light of the changes.
community wardens check-ins.
These will now happen in the form of a fortnightly post in the OOC comm that all registered reoccurred characters must respond to. If characters don't respond, there may be IC consequences such as follow ups from their wardens or being reported should missed check-ins occur frequently. Characters will also notice these check-ins being more rigorously conducted and their wardens may bc NPC-ed to quiz them on any possible dodgy activity.
increased mle patrols.
From the announcement of the muggle ban onwards there will be an increased presence of MLE patrols stationed at major muggle-wizard interchanges and popular passages between the worlds such as the Leaky Cauldron. There will be name checks against the Reoccurred register for those entering and exit, to ensure that no reoccurred individuals are breaking the rules. The increased presence of patrols are also looking out for individuals apparating close to these spots, and will be performing spot checks on apparition licenses to ensure reoccurred people are not illegally apparating.
dmle advertisements.
In light of the increased patrols, the DMLE are hiring! Reoccurred individuals cannot apply. There will be lots of posters advertising shiny new careers protecting the wizarding world.
housing.
Anybody who urgently needs a place to stay after vacating a muggle area will be provided with temporary accommodation in some very basic and not terribly inviting flats on the outskirts of Wizarding London. Their community warden will tell them the Ministry are working on assisting with long-term accommodation and direct them to talk to Narcissa Malfoy about her housing initiative should they wish to stay elsewhere. A couple of wizarding landlords who can see an opportunity for profiting off the situation will be offering cheap places specifically aimed at reoccurred tenants, though they aren't that much nicer than the Ministry's offerings, even if they are generally much better located. Otherwise, reoccurred people are welcome to rent and buy standard homes in wizarding towns, villages and wizarding areas of cities across the country, so long as they have the means to do so.
Homes in the countryside not connected to any particular village or settlement are considered neutral territory and well enough away from muggles that the rules do not apply to them. There will be some cases for appeal for locations that may be in muggle areas but could argue are still very well magically protected, though characters themselves will have to decide if they wish to appeal. If anybody is uncertain about whether or not their characters' place of residence falls under the new restrictions, feel free to ask!
