A few chapters into the book and he found no answers, only more questions. He grew aggravated, rereading the same sentences two, three times in his annoyance. Nothing made enough sense to justify this being a form of reality. Perhaps this was the dream and all that he had to do was wake up? But what would he wake up to? Perhaps this was Purgatory? His mind raced, a thousand new questions being resurrected from the ashes of the words upon the page.
About to reread the same nonsensical statement for the fourth time, a small voice commanded his attention. He lifted his eyes and was met with a meek look girl who he had already assumed as quite a few years younger then him. She had this innocence in her face and in a way, she reminded him of his little sister which automatically made his expression soften.
"So I've come to find out." He muttered in a soft, bemused tone as he tossed the book onto the table, rubbing his temples. "My consensus on the general situation has not shifted much since my awakening, nor do I think it ever will."
