Sirius glanced over at the woman with a suspicious eye, and although she sounded as if she meant what she said he didn't think she would have after he told her everything. He wasn't one to judge on looks, growing up beside a werewolf gave him that valuable lesson, but she didn't look like she had seen anything like war before. Although, who knew? Who knew what war was like in the future, maybe it was so technical that they didn't have to do more than press a button. Still, his own story wasn't one that was fun to share, and although Sirius did believe that talking about it might help, he didn't want to push his own problems onto others. Especially when everybody was struggling just to survive. "I'll think about it," he promised genuinely, offering another smile that didn't exactly reach his eyes.
"It's a large plant," he explained, gesturing with his hands to show off the size. "With these pretty pink flowers that grow out of it, you can dry the leaves with sunlight like this if you pick them and hang them upside down for a bit, but I've been dying here." He looked around, as if planning on spotting a plant in the immediate area, and he sighed when he didn't. "I used to grow my own back home, it was cheaper than going into a muggle shop and picking up a pack..." he muttered more to himself than to her, but instead of dwelling he moved forward and started to help her pick her berries, placing them on her shirt. "Be sure to rinse these off when you get back, just in case. ...You have your plumbing set up, right?" He glanced over at her. "It's bloody ridiculous that we had to put all of that together, if anyone else from my world got thrown in here they would have had no idea how to do it, it seems a little unfair. Then again this whole thing does, so I don't really know what I expected."
When they picked most of the berries that looked edible Sirius stood and brushed off his knees, placing his hands on his hips. "You got a lot, think you can carry all of those back?"
