Joey murmured a soft thank you as she took the box from Barry and she nodded at Hansel. "We all have rooms here, they put our names on the doors. It's fucking creepy," she explained. Her eyes moved back to Barry and she waved off his apology.
"We have to set up our own plumbing and electricity," she piped up, "it's really stupid. Um, but last count I think there was thirty or so? Give or take a couple?"
At Barry's comment about keeping everyone alive, Joey's face warmed, pink color creeping into her cheeks and the tips of her ears. "He's giving me too much credit," she said, looking over at Hansel and tucking her hair behind her ears as she walked with them. "I had help. Lots of it."
