Fortunately, Joey didn't notice the extra attention being paid to her as she grabbed her jeans off the rock and, with a little more effort than she would've like to have to exert because of the water still clinging to the skin of her legs, she pulled them on. Joey turned back to face Jesse as she zipped the jeans and bent to pick up her shoes and socks.
"Your unlucky blizzard better not," she teased. "Yeah, cool, thanks," she agreed at the offer to be walked back. If they were both going that way anyhow, there didn't seem to be any reason not to let him. Besides, she like the company and Jesse seemed like a nice guy.
As she led the way back toward the housing development, Joey looked over at him. "So what else have you been doing in the short time you've been here to keep yourself busy? You know, besides creeping on girls in the river," she joked.
