Her playful words got another grin from him, but it was her reaction to his teasing - well, mostly teasing since would totally follow through with the offer if she wanted - words that really had him smirking just a little. The blush slid over her cheeks so quickly that he wondered if she was lightheaded afterwards. It was kind of unfair just how adorable the blush was, though, but even more than the cuteness factor of the crimson tinge was the way that she babbled on afterwards.
"You're kind of cute when you have a verbal explosion," he told her, biting his lower lip through a wide, smirky grin. "You're probably right though. I suck at science so," he shrugged and trailed off. "Actually, I kinda suck at most things," he laughed. He was a screw up. A barely made it through high school sort of screw up. Even his parents didn't want anything to do with him ninety percent of the time. His perfect little brother didn't make that any easier a pill to swallow.
