"Guess we can hope," he said, shrugging. "Until they decide that the best thing to do is create a blizzard or something." He didn't want to admit it, but if the people running the experiments could make people sick - or make them healthy for that matter - who was to say they couldn't make the place they were staying turn into a winter horrorland.
"I think that's pretty much how I feel," he laughed. "Like a damn lunatic. This is all insane and I keep thinking that I'm going to wake up and this'll just be some really bad trip or something." It hadn't happened yet, but he still felt like maybe it might.
He watched her as she went underwater and when she came back up again. It was distracting and he blinked a little. He nodded at her response. "The Academy?," he asked her. "So are you wanting to be a cop or something?" That was what the academy brought to mind when he thought about it.
