To her credit, Joey didn't watch him as he tried to decide whether to strip off anything before getting into the river, instead opting to swim a little ways away to give him some privacy and space while he got in.
She couldn't help but laugh at his response when he got in and she turned in the water, looking back at him. "I told you it was cold," she reminded him with a grin. "You'll get used to it quick, though. It's not so bad."
Wrinkling her nose, Joey nodded. "You probably don't. Just something I read that someone else was saying on the journal, is all. Do not want," she replied.
Joey rolled onto her back to float for a moment, closing her eyes. "So how long have you been stuck in our own personal hell, anyway, Jesse?"
