The blushing was definitely contagious and he tried to ignore both his own and Joey's. Hers was definitely better, he decided silently. He nodded a little at her explanation and figured she was probably right about the relaxing part. He was starting to think that the grass was decidedly creepy and was contemplating taking her word for the cold being worth it.
When she swam back a little and basically gave him the go ahead to join her, he started taking off his shoes. "Jesse," he said. "Still not used to this place," he muttered as he stuffed his socks into his shoes and pulled his shirt over his head. Tossing it near his shoes, he shuddered. "Is the grass always like that?"
