Her eyes narrowed more at the high five than the continuation of his little ruse about her face being awful. Jokes and teasing remarks were par for the course, but high fives? Really? She returned the gesture, their palms slapping together, before she stepped forward and gave him a quick hug anyway. They were friends, after all, and it'd been forever.
"I can't say I'm all that great at gardening, but, I mean. How can I resist the siren call of vegetables that didn't come from a can? I totally want dibs on anything that's actually able to grow." She glanced around, looking for people she recognized as UMCB-ers, and came up short. "Maybe they don't like the taste of their own medicine." Her deadpan expression lasted maybe five seconds, tops.
