There have never been places Sarge considered all that special, at least not in this way. Of course he had his favorite bars, he really liked the gym he used to go to, the glorified closet in Bob's apartment he called home for a while. Never has he used words like special or even sacred and he certainly won't start now. Although he supposes that if he would, this place should be one of those.
What exactly drew him here to begin with, aside from a vague hope of solitude, he doesn't know. But something did and he's glad he found it. He wouldn't bring just anyone here but he knows that Addie knows that, and that is enough.
Frowning at the steep steps and down at what used to be the pool he slightly tilts his head, his chin pointing at the overhanging rocks. "Plenty of space down there to sit'n think. Or not think." Both shoulders lift up in a tense shrug, of course he wouldn't come here to think. Or do other things that involve throwing rocks until his arms are too tired to move.
But he has already made up his mind that they will find a spot somewhere under what used to be the waterfall, a wall of solid rock behind them and fairly wide open space in front. He has that blanket he doesn't feel silly for bringing anymore and he will sit with her or give her some space. Listen to her talk or be silent with her, just occupying roughly the same space for a while.
