Savannah doesn't talk on the walk up to the Oval Office, not wanting whatever they're about to discuss to become library gossip. No one here needs to see their leader losing her cool.
Once they're in privacy, Lita immediately starts apologizing, but Savannah doesn't want to hear any of it. Not really. Because she's apologizing for hurting Savannah's feelings and making her worry, not for the actions that made Savannah feel that way. There is a distinction between the two and she still doesn't accept that Lita's actions were correct in the situation.
"Yeah, it was really shitty," she agrees, looking at Lita sternly. She isn't going to make this easy on her best friend but she doesn't think Lita expects anything else. "You put yourself at risk for no reason. I just lost Gray and I'm dyin' inside without him. Did you not think how you bein' there, still in danger, might make me feel? Or were you too busy bein' stubborn with your head up your own ass, tryin' to prove how you're always right? You're one of the only people I have left, Lita."
She's angry and sad and frustrated and exhausted all at once and her hands are shaking a bit in anger, but her hard gaze never leaves her friends face.
