Lita leans into her friend's embrace, letting Savannah support her. She's never cried in front of Savannah, not ever. There were a few moments after Gray died where it was touch and go but Lita ultimately summoned up the strength to keep them at bay; she had needed to be strong for Savannah. Now, her tears threaten to spill over and Lita stubbornly sniffs them back, fighting against the emotions churning inside her. She hates James for making her so predictable, so common. She was better and stronger than this. Crying over a heartbreak like a cheesy pop song on the radio? It was sad and small and so unlike Lita that the mere thought sobers her slightly. It takes a few moments but she pulls back and offers Savannah a dejected shrug.
"I hardly know where to begin," Lita murmurs, feeling bolstered by Savannah's warm, solid presence beside her. "...but I can tell you how it ended." Knowing she owed Savannah the truth after holding so much back form her, Lita began to relay the entirety of she and James' last date. She knew most of it would be hard for her friend to here, especially considering what happened to Gray. But if Lita learned anything from what transpired between her and James, she would rather be honest than merciful.
"I know what would have happened if he hadn't have been there," Lita says hollowly. "I don't blame him for what he did, what he's had to do. I blame him for thinking I couldn't handle the truth...I hate him for thinking he needed to make my decisions for me. What he does is forgivable...it's the lies I can't abide."
Lita knew that her crumbling relationship had no bearing on the he burgeoning alliance between the library and the motorcycle club. Lita has made her peace with that fact. There would always be extra added heat being affiliated with James and his crew. Even though she was still fuming, Lita thought Savannah's shelter would be safer standing with the club than against the Capitol on their own.
"You can't let this change the LBJ and Hellhound partnership," Lita says resolutely. She takes Savannah's hand and squeezes it tight. "I trust you to know what's best for your people, and I know for damn sure you'll always have my back. I just...I know these two things seem diametrically fucking opposed right now but I have faith you'll figure it out."
