The air downtown is heavy, dense with the tension of a face-off that's been two years in the making. Never before in their history has the Capitol held the cards, never have the Dogs come to beg for anything from the Mayor and his mindless pigs. This is a first, and the energy reflects that-- the patrolmen have lined the streets with every tank, truck and heavy artillery in their arsenal, and they flank both curbs with AKs, KG-9s, rifles and SMGs. There's enough men and enough firepower to lay them all down where they stand, but the pigs just stand there. The Mayor made it clear that this was a negotiation, and they won't be the ones to begin the bloodshed. The only hand that the Dogs have to play right now is the fact that the Mayor cares so much for appearances, and he won't turn the streets into a warzone unless the officers give him an excuse. |
