“Sounds dumb, but networking, for starters. There are a lot of groups out there that could stand better communication. Just opening up lines to everyone else would be a great place to jump in from. Diplomacy missions, I guess it would be. And I think no one thinks they're sitting on their asses and that's the problem. There's got to be a group of people out there who are brave enough to not just maintain, but move ahead.”
She tilted her head and regarded him. “Take the Capitol. They're one of the ones who are clinging hard to the old world, and they get real upset when anything tries to go against that. But the world isn't like it was before, so trying to carry on as if everything hasn't changed is just dumb. They need to evolve, not be civilization's version of a two year old who won't get rid of a broken toy because they liked it too much.”
