This was Persephone's show, and so Daniel did what he did best: faded into the background to watch and listen, all of his senses keen on the room around them and peeled for the sound of possible walkers outside. He couldn't deny that he was intrigued by the Hellhounds, curious to see what the result of this talk might be—but he was here to be an observer, not a participant.
