North had intended on visiting the LBJ Presidential Library months ago. Unfortunately, a dead friend got in the way and it wasn’t until a little while back that she finally managed to pull herself out of her self-isolation. It wasn’t exactly emotionally healthy to close herself off to everyone after what had happened to Andrea, but her death had brought back too many painful memories and she had thought it would be better off if she distanced herself from other people.
But the only thing that did was make her angry and frustrated with no outlet to ease her mind except for frequent supply runs. As helpful as the runs were, North knew it wasn’t enough. She had always been a very social creature, so she decided it was time to reconnect with her friends. It also helped to know that a detective was on the case now and he was actually invested in it.
Jotting down the numbers to one of the books in her stack, North shook her head at her question, “Nah, this isn’t super boring.” She sent a reassuring smile Olivia’s way. “It’s actually kinda nice.” It was mindless work and she always did like to lend a hand wherever she could. “But you’re still going to give me the full tour later, right?”
She set the hardcover down before she reached over for the next one. “I don’t think you would get on my nerves though, Olive,” she said, looking down at the title, “but a submarine does feel a little claustrophobic. I like to stretch out. It would be an awesome vehicle to get us to a tropical island, preferably one with a lot of fruits.”
