Raising her own glass, Day clinked it against Savannah's before she took a sip of the liquor. The familiar burn in her throat as it washed down was warm, comforting. She lowered the drink back down on the desktop, cradling it in her hands. "There's gonna be a lot of changes from here on out," she said, her eyes flickering from the shot glass to the blonde in front of her. "We're going to have to prepare for anything that might hit us in the coming future."
Now that she had announced the Capitol as a threat to the survivors, she could only hope that it'd remain a warning and not become an actuality. What happened with Gray was probably a struck of fortune in Olinger's eyes. He had the perfect scapegoat in the Hellhounds. But she knew that he wasn't stupid enough to make a move on civilians with his patrolmen. He needed the people on his side. He also knew that LBJ needed the Capitol's resource in water.
Shaking her head slightly, she sent over an apologetic smile. "Sorry, you probably didn't come here to talk about this right now. I'm usually better at small talk than this."
