This. This right here is exactly why she's always fucking exhausted and she can't ever show it because it would be a sign of weakness. Somedays it feels like the whole damn world hasn't heard a word she's said. Now, that asshole had called her whore and bitch a whole buncha times, called Rodeo a Motherfucker in his own yard but when she calls this joker an idiot then she's a toothy cunt. Pisser indeed.
There's no smirk involved. She's told to "back it off" and she can't help but feel she's been backing it off the whole fucking time with this big and empty. Her hands go up. She isn't getting ready to fight. Teagan knows the rules around here, better than anyone. There's very little wiggle room when it comes to how she behaves. She has to be upright and cognizant all. the. fucking. time.
If anything, she'd been real careful the whole way here. Level headed, she hadn't ever lost her temper and insulted him (to his face) until that last moment when he called her Goldie Locks and made up stories about not giving him the choice to get up and leave, even then she hadn't raised her voice once. Hell, she'd been real nice. Told him that things would work out real well for him, had even offered him a ride back to his bike if Rodeo gave the A.Okay. He had something real fucking important in that bag and it wasn't his dead mother's necklace either. If Rodeo didn't didn't want it then, at least she'd made the play, made it back here with whatever it might be with the bag owner's head intact.
So while Rodeo has his heart to heart with a fucking stranger she paces back and forth, head down. temper mastered, waiting patiently because she has that in spades along with everything else. Men always have a way of slinging around the word bitch and whore when they were helpless and she always takes it because she's definitely not the emotional one in this spit-down.
She can't help it if he's sensitive. Maybe it's her thick skin that desensitizes her to this man's hurt feelings but, if he's not an idiot then he shouldn't have anything to worry about, right?
