Rodeo steps aside to give Teagan more ground when she starts to talk, looking over to her as she speaks so he's not keeping his gaze on the stranger constantly. It's a show of trust that he hopes will make an impact. If they want this guy on their side, they'd better start treating him like he already is.
Rodeo knows the choice to join them isn't an easy one to make. So he nods in agreement with Teagan's statements, her sales pitch certainly sounding convincing and earnest in his opinion. He's proud of T's ability to drop her anger, to move forward without hard feelings mucking everything up. Some guys just can't do that. Rodeo hates the way some of his men can hold a grudge against one of their own over some ancient shit. Teagan's history with Marcus isn't even old enough to be called history, and she's still putting it behind her. Hopefully that makes an impact on the stranger, too.
Rodeo looks back to the man, glad they seem to be off to a good start bringing him around to their side. "We got some numbers," Rodeo nods in response to Marcus' question. "Almost two hundred. Some of 'em are crew, but most of 'em are wives, kids, family." Rodeo lifts his brows, in a look that is meant to implore without seeming curious in the wrong ways. He knows questions can make folks uncomfortable, but he has to ask after Marcus' abilities just like he would anyone else coming into his camp. "Look, you know how to do anything? You can take some time deciding if you want the patch if you're pullin' your weight here. Don't want you to choose if you ain't sure what you're signin' up for, 'cause we don't like dropouts. You got any skills that'll keep you useful, we won't ask you to make promises 'till you're ready."
