Ezra watched with a strange sort of curiosity. He didn't look threatening, and it sank in a little slowly that he was looking at a dwarf. But he caught on, and heard what the man was saying to himself. He wasn't quite sure how to address this.
He could say something - if he did, would it startle the shit out of the guy? If he didn't, and that light hit him, would that give him a heart attack? He didn't know. Probably. He debated, calculating that if the guy had a gun, it could mean bad things for him. A gun would kill him quickly, of course, if the guy was even halfway decent a shot.
But he was playing around with the crowbar, and that was different. Even if he threw it, it wouldn't do that much damage.
In the end, he opted to clear his throat, just a little, and then shielded his eyes so that the flashlight wouldn't blind him.
