It seemed to take an eternity before anyone responded to her greeting. As a woman, obviously wary but smiling, stepped out of one of the aisles, Bunny held up both her hands to show they were empty. She'd been in the position of walking in on new folks a time or two in the past, and they tended to see you as less of a threat when you were obvious about your intentions. Bunny was careful to smile back too, attitude being more than half of a good first impression. Besides, two people on edge could slip off a lot more easily than just one.
Not that her fellow shopper seemed like the sort to act too hastily. She hadn't drawn that pistol she had her hand on, after all.
The sound of the woman's name brought a broader, truer smile to Bunny's face. "North, you said?" Well, that was a hell of a coincidence. Something had brought her to this specific store out of all the other, probably empty, ones on this street, and so it must be by design that they've run into each other.
"JP, in the hospital kitchen, told me just the other day that you're the one who can find just about anything out here. I didn't expect to meet you quite like this, though. My name's Bunny."
Despite the introduction and the lingering sense of courtesy that still prodded at her, Bunny didn't offer her hand to shake. Not because of anything to do with North, but because of their surroundings. Safer, and simpler, not to add any extra distractions to the mix.
