Being close to the only other living being within the deserted area, the built-in counter that once housed who knew what when it came to gas stations, his eyes still darted away from her and toward the outside and then over his shoulder. A part of him believed it was just the two of them, but there will always be that other part of him that always had an eye on every corner when it came to a building with many areas to hide behind. Still, with no one coming out and stabbing him to death for being in the same area as she was, it didn't lessen the tension he still had creeping up his back, even has he straightened his spine and glanced down at this woman who simply was as calm as rain. Did she just wake up from a coma? How could anyone be so calm and relaxed in a time like this?
Her words sent a bit of an irritation through him, but that wasn't like Vincent, to open his mouth and spit out that he was here first and that she should be the one leaving. Her voice, however, had a familiar twinge that went through him, not right away placing where. Pressing his lips together tightly, he glanced once again out the window and then back down toward the woman. Wasn't difficult to see her so clearly behind the counter what with his height. He did notice her hand toward something- was it a weapon? Both of his hands moved away and up to be seen, in a way to show he means no harm whatsoever.
"I know exactly where the door is," he finally responded with. His accent soft, the English rolling off his tongue like a second skin. Still felt weird speaking it.
Then it hit him.
Blinking with the sudden thought- assuming the worse with this young woman- he looked again to the side and toward the outside, seeing nothing but an empty road and rusting cars. She must have been making all the noise for a reason. But why end her life like that? She was alone, calm as can be, ready for the end of it. His hazel eyes were a bit wide when coming back to look down upon her. "You're not thinking of ending your life..., right here- in a place that makes a coffin look like a better bed? Mio Dio.." The last words were hissed through gritted teeth.
