Since the donuts hadn't been his idea, he sort of hoped word would spread to the people outside the hospital who deserved credit for this experiment. "As long as the ingredients keep coming in, I'll keep feeding people," he said with a shrug. "Don't know about all those guinea pigs, though. All you really need is one good one. Too many cooks spoil the broth, you know." Once people started coming in and having opinions, it limited creative license. And there went all the future experiments like this one. It would be back to beans and Spam, like they were all cowboys on the trail or something.
"Sometimes it's more of a curse than a blessing. I'd trade some of them for an enchanted pot any day." While probably not the nicest thing to admit, it was the truth, and JP was nothing if not truthful. Anyway, he hadn't been the one to pick them. Basically anyone who worked in the kitchen who wound up at UMCB ended up in the kitchens. Or so it seemed. Of course, that was how JP had gotten his job as well. That and a little flubbing on his resume.
JP grinned and nodded. "I'll take all the help I can get. I think I can deal with that arrangement."
