Not a problem at all! Real life happens. :)
JP might've been bragging, but Bunny was inclined to agree with him. She looked over the cluster of finished donuts laid out on the counter and grinned. "A beautiful sight, indeed. These are going to be the talk of Austin, you know. Pretty soon you'll have folks lining up at the kitchen door to be your guinea pigs."
She might've been putting a little sugar on the truth, but not much. Donuts were an unheard of treat in the midst of the apocalypse, and she was glad to have had the opportunity to preview them. Some stroke of luck had sent her coming this way at just the right time, and hopefully it meant good things for all her time in the city.
"Well, thank goodness you aren't all on your own. I thought there had to be some line cooks, or else an enchanted pot hidden in one of these cupboards." Bunny laughed. She knew what JP meant about being able to think better on his own. She felt just the same way sometimes, especially now that she was back in civilization. It was nice to have spent this time with just the right amount of company: someone to chat with, but not so many people that it felt overwhelming.
"So what's the cleanup plan? I'll wash and you dry? I promised to help after all." And she made it a point not to forget a promise.
