As JP explained the way the donuts were supposed to turn out, Bunny listened carefully, her attention never wavering from his words. Sure, donuts weren't a matter of life and death, but she took the task of guinea pig quite seriously. After all, JP had clearly been working hard on perfecting the recipe, and she wanted to honor that with her own actions.
Eyes lighting up at the sight of the split donut in JP's hand, Bunny said, "Glazed would be messier, but who doesn't love honey?"
She took the closer piece of donut and took a small bite, hoping to stretch out the unexpected treat for as long as possible. As she chewed, Bunny closed her eyes and let each flavor settle into her taste buds. "Actually, I'm pretty sure there's honey in it already. Am I right? She took a second small bite, without opening her eyes, and after a moment a smile spread across her face.
"I think you might have done it, JP!" Bunny's eyes came open and she looked over at her tasting companion. "What does the chef say?"
