"Pleased to meet you, JP." Bunny shook his hand with a ready smile in response to the one JP had offered her. "I don't think I've met the person yet who would turn down the chance to be a guinea pig when it comes to the possibility of donuts. I can help you clean up, after, to make it a fair exchange. I'm a decent hand at dishes."
She had to be, growing up with six brothers and a dishwasher that acted up more often than it worked. One of those boys was always taking the thing apart and trying to get it running right again, but that had usually only made the problem worse, rather than better. Bunny had never minded having to do the washing up by hand. It meant everyone working together, singing along with the radio to make the task go by more quickly.
Besides, it was only fair to help with the clean-up if she was going to end up benefiting from accidentally stumbling across JP's experiment. Bunny liked being useful, in whatever way she could.
"Now, what are the hallmarks of a successful donut?" she asked, with a glance at the one cooling on the counter. It looked fair enough, from the outside, which had to be a good sign. "So I know what I'm looking for. Because, I have to admit, my palate isn't anywhere near picky anymore. Traveling shook all that right out of me."
