Feeling relief is not right, but he does it anyway. There will probably be that moment when they have to share her with the others, however temporarily, but for now they can squeeze into Rodeo's trailer. It's not exactly like in the old days, but he is more than willing to pretend and ignore all those years they spent apart that are like a wall between them.
When Adelaide threads her arms through theirs he almost flinches away but catches himself before it is more than a little twitch. Sarge has always had a problem with people touching him without warning and that hasn't changed. Once upon a time she was an exception to that rule, he had a few years of development from baby to an actual tiny human to get used to it, and he tells himself he probably just needs to adjust to her presence again. It's a mildly disconcerting thought.
Following Rodeo's declarations he snorts in the right places and grumbles when his place is mentioned. "You wanted that damn trailer" and "I'm gonna build you one, see how you like them fuckin' flamingos" are barely audible, but there is a hint of amusement. He hates it when someone points out anything he built, it's strangely uncomfortable to have people know that he can actually do things that don't involve destruction of some sort. He lets Addie walk in first, following after a few moments and heading straight for his usual spot where he just plops down and begins to pet the dog, getting lost in his own world because he most definitely doesn't need a palace tour.
