Rodeo is oblivious to the telepathic message floating between his best friend and his sister regarding the fire, but he doesn't mind Adelaide's decision in the slightest. His trailer is quiet and tucked away from prying eyes and interested parties, so they'll be able to monopolize Adelaide to the fullest. A smile overtakes him as Adelaide snags his arm, and he gladly lets himself get pulled in. He even shoulders in a little closer, so that Adelaide is squished between him and Sarge.
"I'll give you the palace tour," Rodeo promises, because that's only 33.5 feet of tour and it doesn't require him to introduce her to anyone. "Wait 'till you get a load o' my sweet-ass digs, baby girl. I even got a bed of my own." For the first time in his whole life, he has an actual bed. He was always crammed on the couch back home in Montgomery, and he hardly considers the paltry mat in his cell at Huntsville a bed. But this is the real deal. An actual mattress and everything. His feet don't even hang off the end.
Rodeo leads them to his trailer, which to him really is a palace-- an old 1985 Skyline Layton, it's huge by his standards and completely his own. He's never had so much space to call his before. He only has to share it with Sweet Melissa, who comes charging around from the back of the trailer as they walk up to it. She weaves her way around them, changing course to trot alongside them as they head towards the door, tail wagging happily. Rodeo digs his keys out of his pocket, unlocking the door and holding it open for them to pass. "It ain't all that much compared to Sarge's place, but it's got less lawn ornaments."
