"I can only imagine." Olivia knew that in the Library, she was far removed from the realities of what this new world meant for everyone. Scouting brought her into contact with some of it, but Josh had seen much more than she likely ever would.
She could hear the subtext in his words, though, and it -- that and that little nudge from Maizie -- made her smile to herself as they continued to walk. Their actions didn't entirely alleviate her concerns or that little niggling feeling of inferiority that had hit her, but it was better than she'd been feeling before. So instead of saying anything else self-deprecating, she just glanced up and over at Josh and said, "I bet the Hellhounds don't even know how lucky they are to have you."
The kitchens weren't exactly overflowing with things to spare, especially not now that half of their scouting team had been cut off from bringing in resources, but it didn't take long for Olivia to spot a bag of chocolate chip cookies. "Score. I bet we can sneak one more thing and head out?" She was on friendly terms with the staff from her work as a scout, but she usually took things she'd brought in herself. "Do you guys have something like this over there?"
