Dani looked at the computer, which wasn't being used for much of anything at the moment, and shrugged. "Probably for inventory, or tracking which rooms are in use and which doctors are on shift. Once upon a time, it might've done billing and expenses, back when those things mattered."
Sadly, they weren't a completely paper-free hospital, which reminded Dani of the task that lead her up out of the lab in the first place. She'd left the file with the note in question on the desk, and she reached for it now, tucking it back under her arm. Pretty soon now she'd have to go find a translator, or whatever this request was for wouldn't get filled. It was a waste of her time, but the doctor responsible wouldn't care. When you saved lives, she supposed, poor penmanship and the schedule of lab techs were least of your concerns.
"Doctor Singh is very capable," Dani said, which was neither agreeing nor disagreeing with Graham's descriptor of 'kind'. She and Lalita Singh had a complicated relationship based on mutual hostility and respect in equal measure. "The hospital is very lucky to have a surgeon of her caliber on staff."
