"You want to check out my tent?" Teagan asks, figuring that having something to do was better than just waiting around in one spot. It would be a time waster in any case. Teagan's moving and gesturing for the girl to follow behind her. They didn't have a long walk but it would be a change of scenery. Maizie would be safe with the Hellhound.
"You thought so? Why's that?" Teagan asks, but doesn't wait for the full answer, "The Hellhound's weren't around before the Zombie's came." She explained. "I was a boxer and I started MMA?" conveniently leaving out the hardest and best parts of her life like she was wringing out a washcloth. "My pop was part of a small MC...but nothing like this. They mostly rose and drank beer on the weekend."
They passed by trailers and tents. There were kids and people. It wasn't at all vacant. There was a life here, energy. This wasn't just "making" it but making it with spirit.
"Do you like the library?" Teagan asks, making conversation.
