Savannah had been relatively quiet on the ride over, only chiming in here and there to reassure Maizie that they were getting to see her Daddy soon, but mostly her nerves were getting the best of her. Gray had been in quarantine for a few days now and she knew it was a good sign that he didn't have a fever yet, but she wasn't going to lull herself in a false sense of security. It had already been difficult enough when he was missing, where a tiny voice in the back of her head told her she'd never seen him again, but she knew that if he turned it could be so much worse.
She followed just a few steps behind Maizie as they exited the car, feeling entirely out of place in her silk blouse but she didn't reckon she'd feel any better about this if she were wearing plaid. Hitching a bag containing some of Gray's things higher up on her shoulder she looked at the man who introduced himself as Rodeo. She knew him as James, but had pieced together that they were one in the same. What she hadn't counted on was recognizing his face. If she wasn't mistaken, the man in front of her was none other than Austin's Police Killer -- James Hawkins. Well. That was... interesting. But now wasn't the time to dwell on such possibilities, especially when he still had the man she loved in his camp.
"Hi there. I'm Savannah," she said, "This is Maizie and that's Day," pointing to each of them as she spoke. "Thanks for havin' us out here."
