"Everything I say is always true."That was a lie, but Nora was just saying things to say things, at this point, and so it really didn't matter all that much, in her humble (or not so much) opinion. The fact that she shot it back at him just as fast as he said it didn't really help her case, either, but what was a girl to do. Nora internalized his next words a little more wholly, and she felt her own lips form into a thin line. She side-eyed him as he looked down at his torso and then back up at her, wanting to bury herself in this bed and never come out.
She accepted her Milk Duds, chewing two at once for a moment to keep from replying at all, and then: "No. You shouldn't be worried." She made a face, losing her facade for a moment. "I just hate my stupid tent and like it here better. And then I woke up from a nice dream and saw your stupid body and got sidetracked." She shoved a couple more Milk Duds into her mouth and added, with her mouth full, "Perfectly understandable."
"And I'm gonna keep stealing your bed, unless it REALLY AND TRULY bothers you." She felt like she should probably be up front about that, because she couldn't really help herself when his bed was there and was comfy and she had better dreams there.
