Josh nodded along, following Nora's line of thinking with a healthy amount of skepticism in his eyes. Sure, she was probably right, but still. It was just a shirt. He raised his eyebrows and blinked after she added that last part about him not wanting to sleep with her and all of a sudden Josh felt like he legitimately did something wrong. Which didn't make sense because this was his trailer and he needed to change his shirt but found Nora before he had a chance to. So he shouldn't feel like any of this is his fault.
Actually, in all honesty, Josh was so confused that he didn't even know what Nora was blaming him for at this point. He closed his eyes with a pained expression and sank farther onto the bed while attempting to come up with something he could say that wouldn't set Nora off again. How was all of this his fault? And what was he at fault for? There were too many questions whirling around in Josh's head to format a sentence, so he grabbed another handful of Milk Duds to buy himself some time.
"I don't understand," he said slowly. "Is this about me not wearing a shirt in my own trailer, or about you being offended that I don't want to sleep with you?"
