WHO: Josh and Rodeo (and Sweet Melissa) WHAT: Greenhouse talk WHEN: After these texts WHERE: Rodeo's trailer
Even if Josh hadn't been to Rodeo's trailer about five million times before tonight, there's no way he could have missed the 50-pound blur of golden retriever that landed on his chest as he arrived at the front door. "Ooooomph," he grunted as Sweet Melissa landed on him, forcing him to hit the ground, but then he laughed. "I'm happy to see you, too, girl," Josh grinned, and reached up to scratch her ears. "That's a good girl." He smiled and gave her one last pat before pushing her off so he could actually get inside. The notebook he'd brought with him had fallen out of his grasp, so he made sure to grab it and dust it back off - and dust himself off - before he decided he was ready.
Josh could feel his heart beating a little faster as he pulled the door open, and he wasn't sure if that was because he was still recovering from Melissa's attack, or because he still felt awkward about just barging into the trailer even after Rodeo told him to come over. Probably both. But Rodeo was like a brother to him, and ultimately, that won out over any nerves Josh was feeling. "Rodeo, it's Josh!" He called out warmly.
