The trailer Marcus had managed to salvage (with the help of his new friends) wasn't particularly lux, but it was actually big enough for him to move around comfortably in, which was saying something. He'd put up two of the old sideshow banners that Teagan had found (he'd been interested in any of the human oddities that had ALIVE printed in bold text, settling on a sword swallower and a snake woman). He'd also allowed some of the younger, more artistically inclined camp members to have their way with the exterior so long as they didn't harm the circus art. The end result was a colorful eyesore that made him happy in a way he couldn't quite explain. It was half joke and half street art... and it had been so long since he'd had a home that he was already willing to lay down his life defending it.
Still, he wasn't defensive of what little property he had. People were generally welcome to tag his trailer or come in for a drink. He'd been alone for long enough that he welcomed the noise and energy of company, however it chose to manifest. A fuck or a party or a goddamn emergency. Anything that involved other human beings was catnip to him, so he didn't have much of a reputation for being reclusive.
In line with that, his door was never locked if he was inside (it was like he'd learned nothing from their first encounter in the abandoned truck), and there was no exception here. No click of tumblers being undone. Just footsteps to the door and the sound of the latch popping open to reveal a toothy grin on a large man wearing a jeans and little else. "Mardi Gras! Damn, mamÃ, I was just thinking 'bout you. Come on in."
He stepped aside so she could enter, sweeping an arm towards the more modest interior of his home. Inside, things were very spartan, still. Gathering furniture and home goods was still on his list of things to do. Once he figured out how to haul it back, he'd get a real bed and shit like that... maybe even in a loveseat or small sofa. In the meantime, he'd mostly co-opted some of the mismatched folding chairs from outside and a collapsible card table for the living area.
