Rodeo is surprised when she thanks him, and it shows in the slightly bashful way he shrugs and shakes his head. He smiles, warm and earnest, feeling humbled by her gratefulness. He started this crew as a means of survival, and he hadn't really expected that someday he'd be able to ensure the safety of others with it too. Now there are a lot of people like Rayanne at his camp, people who needed somewhere safe and found it here amongst the Dogs. But the benefit is certainly mutual. Rodeo still wouldn't have the phone at all if not for her-- he had been skeptical of the new technology when the Capitol put it out, and if she hadn't come into his camp with her knowledge and expertise and cleared it for him to use safely, he'd never have a chance to send out this message at all.
When she turns the screen around and he can see the message there clearly, his grin widens even more. He laughs, shaking his head and ducking slightly as if he could dodge the praise. "Naw, sweetheart, you are. Trust me, I got just as much to be grateful for. If you weren't here, we'd still be stuck in the dark ages. Now you got us all hooked up and I can post my real deep thoughts up for all to see. Folks need to know 'bout my inner machinations, y'know?"
