Josh kept Olivia pulled tightly against his body, finding comfort in her warmth and the comfortable weight of her own frame. His fingers swept up and down her back, eventually finding a home in her soft, familiar hair. He understood why so many Hounds liked being with the Bitches at night, especially now, as he held Olivia in his arms. It just felt very real, and if Josh had had any doubts about whether or not other people managed to survive, all he had to do was feel Olivia's heartbeat and breathe in her scent and revel in the warmth she provided. And Josh didn't feel so alone after that.
He'd forgotten how much he'd missed human contact like this, how important it was, so even though Olivia had pulled back from the kiss, Josh leaned his head down to her hair and closed his eyes, trying to ignore anything that indicated it wasn't 2016 anymore. "You don't have to thank me," Josh smiled wanly as his consciousness drifted back to reality. He moved to look at her and shook his head with an understanding sigh. "Yeah, me too, Liv. Me too."
The rest of his time was usually spent patching people up, finding supplies to replenish his medical wares, and trying to sleep when he had the chance. And Hellhound stuff, of course. Josh cleared his throat lightly, and then glanced around the cavernous library. There was nothing there, as far as he could tell, but it was still an unprotected building and it paid to be cautious in this world. "We should, um, probably get moving." Josh bit his lip, not liking that idea nearly as much as making out with Olivia some more, but considering how long it's been since Josh was really with anyone, it was probably for the best. Still, Josh dropped a kiss to the top of Olivia's head before pulling away completely, and then smiled at her, offering his hand. "We still have a whole other floor to cover, and I can't really do that if you're trying to feel me up every five seconds."
