Savannah and Gray had grown up playing War in completely different ways so their game had become a hybrid of their own styles. She didn't mind though. It was still fun.
She turned over the 5 of hearts, just barely winning his 3 of diamonds, and the game continued. He'd already done his damage in the last round though, winning more matches than her and his streak continued. The game didn't make all that much sense if you were looking at it in terms of fairness. The winner got to keep the bigger cards and with those cards they just went on to win more. That wasn't the point of that morning though. They were spending time together and that was what mattered.
So when Gray's phone started to buzz, indicating the incoming of messages, Savannah gave him an exaggerated pout. "I thought we had at least an hour left before they'd start bothing you."
