It was like her wish was granted. She'd left the Dog Park to clear her head, looking for distraction and it was all unfolding in front of her.
At first she wasn't sure what was happening. From a distance she could see the procession, a truck in the front and then a V of pursuers catching up behind. The scorched earth of Austin was being kicked and the cloud flumes that flew out at first was a miraculous show in the ending day, the dust like glitter in the specks of sun that shone through the gathering storm clouds.
The binoculars tracked the parade and when they disappeared into the shambles of mostly abandoned buildings that made up Austin now-a-days she took off on her bike and followed.
Not that she was completely reckless. When she reached the action, she parked and she peeked. This wasn't her first rodeo or random gun fight but she was itching to get in to it. That was the outlaw spiri and the compulsion to act on something that she could actually act on was a temptation she only needed a tiny sign to compel her to jump in..
The sign was given when she saw Dugger McKinley from one of the attacking vehicles and it was all she needed to get in on the action.
Dugger McKinley was a psycho. The sort of man that kicked babies because he needed the practice. He was a raider in the way that the Hellhounds were not. His code was vacant, no straight lines - this man was as crooked and evil as they came and he was with his whole posse of fucked up.
It was an opportunity that she needed and she was going to take it.
The shot she had was crystal. One that there was no way in hell she was going to miss, so from her bike she took out her rifle and sucked in her breath and pointed it at the raw sheen of his sun scraped forehead. He fell immediately when she squeezed the trigger and Teagan was already moving. It would take them a moment to know that there was someone else out here and she would use that stealth as an advantage.
Moving through the alley and then coming up behind at another vantage, she takes aim again and when she gets another in her sight, the shot is a killing one but it also announces her position to some of the raiding party.
