Rodeo looks over his table, over the group he trusts and loves more than anyone else in this camp, and he starts to wonder if he's made a mistake by not telling them about Adelaide's role in all of this. He'd been afraid they wouldn't understand if they knew, but maybe they can't understand without knowing. So he meets Bishop's gaze when he asks his question, and after a moment he nods faintly and looks around the table again as he starts to speak.
"My sister approached me with this information. She told me about Grady goin' geek and she told me Avery's next at the bat. She told me this 'cause she wanted to ask me to spare Avery as best I could. She told me 'cause Avery means something to her." Rodeo glances to Teagan then, hoping she doesn't mind having this plan credited to her in front of the others. "I didn't know what the fuck to do with what she'd told me, so I went to T. The idea of meetin' Avery, that came out o' her sharp lil' head. But when I asked my sister about it, she didn't like the idea of making it a surprise. She's got a respect for Avery, and that don't come lightly. I raised that girl, and y'all know I didn't teach her the virtues of trustin' in others and respecting authority. That girl's pure ice, and she don't melt for nobody. Whoever Avery is, he's important to her. I know I can't ask y'all to operate on the word of a girl you hardly just met, but if you can't trust her, then trust me. My sister would never tell me to go into this if she thought there was a chance Avery would do me wrong."
