"Sure gettin' tired of somethin'," Savannah grumbled, resisting the urge to turn over so she could face Gray and really give him a piece of her mind. But then he would just shush her again, scold her for waking up Maizie, or keep going on about how tired he was. Even drunk, she knew this was a losing battle.
"Just go to bed, Gray. No matter what I tell you, it ain't gonna make a difference and you don't wanna talk anyway." She had half a mind to go sleep in her office, just to get away from him, but wasn't at that level of dramatics just yet. So she pulled the blanket up a little higher, as if she were going to actually sleep.
Her blood was practically boiling though and she wouldn't be falling asleep anytime soon.
