Savannah couldn't help but roll her eyes a little. If Nate knew himself so well he certainly didn't feel inclined to share that with her because sometimes he still felt like a stranger. She trusted him of course, as did Gray, but it just went to show how you know someone but not know them.
"Apparently the screening processes we have for incoming residents aren't stringent enough." All new residents submitted to a health screening as well as giving identification and scouts were checked over each time they came back after being outside the shelter. Bites weren't going to spontaneously appear, so Gray (with Savannah in agreement) hadn't deemed it necessary for anything more thorough.
"I'm happy to have some company that won't expect me to jump over the moon when I've only got a pogo stick," she said, giving Nate a smile. "Anything new with you?"
