"Dunno if that ever makes itself clear. Whether you moved on or if it's just something you're dealing with on some level. I guess eventually you just decide you don't want to be alone, but some people are good at not having someone like that. For me it was something I missed, having someone. Maybe I knew I missed that before I actually did anything about it."
Vic shrugged his left shoulder, thinking about how the bulk of 2018 had been for him before Marina had come to the Dog Park, and smiled faintly. At least he had had some kind of closure, knowing the way Zhenya had gone and having the certainty that came with that. The way it'd been with Teagan was still some kind of unsolved mystery, and he wondered if for that alone it'd bug Bishop for longer than he deserved.
"Sometimes shit happens and you realize it's time, or that there's someone you want to try and get together with in a way that could be... Not really a replacement kinda thing, but something new. On that level, sorta." He glanced over at Bishop, looking at him a little more seriously than he had been just a couple of minutes ago. "Just trying out the conversations is a big move. More than you had to do or think about at this stage."
