It probably wasn’t a good idea for her to be out here on the streets while jelly blobs were falling from the sky, but North couldn’t exactly let the shelter starve either. She’d also promised Sparrow she would find him an eye patch (which turned out to be far more difficult of a task than she’d expected). So, now she was skateboarding down the streets of Downtown Austin with an umbrella in hand. Yes, an umbrella. It was a good way to prevent the blobs from smacking her even if it made her look ridiculous. All of this was pretty damn ridiculous in general though.
As she navigated the sidewalk, North came to a sudden grinding halt at the sight in front of her. There was a woman beating away blobs with... What was that? Was that a cricket bat? At least that confirmed she wasn’t a zombie. Zombies didn’t exactly have the brains to use one of those no less to smack little jellies around with it. Stepping off of her skateboard, North tucked it under her arm as she slowly began to approach her. “Hey there,” she greeted with an unsure, yet clearly amused smile, “Need any help?” It looked like she might need some. And, apparently yes, that was a cricket bat in her hand. Cool. “I was just in the area.”
