Olivia and Sasha
“Maybe for you or me it is,” Sasha countered, “But they’re sort of under more scrutiny, you know…” He trailed off then, not really sure that this was even the conversation he wanted to be having right now. Most days Sasha tried to ignore the fact that any wrong move could send his dad, Marina or any of the other Hellhounds back to La Quinta in an instant. “Mostly I just kind of hope that people keep their cool and stay in line, so it’s not even a possibility.” He gave a shrug then, hoping he didn’t seem as uncomfortable as he was.
Talking about the gym was both better and easier, it didn’t seem as heavy or serious as talking about fighting and self defense being defensible. “Holy shit, so you’re doing like an actual proposal with a business plan and shit?” Sasha’s expression is surprised, but it’s clear in his tone that he’s impressed by Olivia’s goal for the gym. “I mean advertising on the freenet seems to work pretty well for other businesses so far, so like maybe that’s how you get people through the doors?” He paused. “Who even approves new businesses?” It was obvious he had no idea just what it took to get a business going in Austin. “Weird or not, it’s a gym and we haven’t had that in forever,” Sasha couldn’t hide the excitement in his tone. Sure the Dog Park had a boxing ring and various other workout equipment, but that didn’t compare to an actual gym.
“When are you thinking you want to open it?” Sasha paused. “Or does that all depend on the whole business plan thing?”
