9:30PM - Bishop and Violet
Bishop didn’t put up any sort of resistance as Violet pulled him towards the Hellhounds makeshift dance floor, he had after all brought up the idea. “Well, there’s more than enough here for your friend to entertain himself with,” Bishop remarked in answer to her remark about her counterpart. “Maybe he’ll even find someone to strike up a conversation with.” Bishop knew that the younger man had met at least a handful of people who were in attendance, and if he was remembering some of the interactions he had witnessed, he was fairly certain there were at least a couple people Ryan wouldn’t mind talking to again.
“Anyway, it’s a damn shame you ain’t danced in a long time,” he switched gears fairly quickly, his focus again on the woman in front of him and not her friend. “Life ain’t worth living if you don’t take moments like this to enjoy the hell out of it.” Bishop added as the song from the car stereo changed and he took the lead, moving both himself and Violet around what passed for a dance floor.
“I'm sure he will,” Violet agreed with a grin. There had been, after all, that adorable interaction she'd witnessed between Ryan and TJ when they'd been sat out at the party after the fire hydrant broke. She'd seen TJ there that night too, just as shirtless as he'd been before but not nearly as drenched. Still, she didn't see that being too much of a deterrent for Ryan to keep from talking to him, though probably mostly staring.
It was easy to let Bishop take over and lead, and Violet let herself move with him to the music, happy for the brief freedom from having to be the one in charge of anything. “Well I'm here, aren't I? Been enjoying it so far…” Being tipsy certainly helped that, but also getting to take part in something so different than what was normal for her.
Bishop laughed as he spun Violet and brought her back in close to him. “You make a very good point, you are here and if I am to take your word you’re enjoying yourself,” he said this with a smile, still all charm, though less because he wasn’t trying to flirt with her. “Though you may not enjoy the hangover tomorrow morning the ‘shine can give you.” Bishop added with a bit of a knowing smile. He had experienced the effects of a night of drinking ‘shine more than once.
“I would recommend you have yourself some apple pie moonshine before you call it a night,” he paused. “Don’t want to sound like I’m bragging but it’s my best.” Bishop would admit if asked that it was all because his mom’s recipe was great. He’s pleased to know that Violet has been enjoying herself that evening, especially since in the past the Hellhounds couldn’t necessarily be said to always be welcoming or kind to outsiders. They’re a different group of men and women now, though, and for that Bishop is thankful.
“I've had hangovers before,” Violet said, though it had been a while since her last one. “I'll make sure to drink water before I sleep. And it's your fault, you know, because it's good and I keep drinking it.” She smiled a little more when he mentioned the apple pie moonshine, letting him spin her again before replying.
