8:00PM - Max and Sasha
Max flushed a bit and rubbed the back of his neck with a pleased sort of embarrassment at Sasha's pointing out his very new love life. Even if he hadn't seen Cherry all that much tonight (he'd wanted to leave her to make Mina feel as comfortable as possible) it was certainly a different experience than bonfires of evenings past.
"Cherry'd understand if we had to flee the scene of potential nakedness," he reasoned. "But I'm picking up what you're putting down. Things change. At least this time, it's for the better."
Max thought most of the evening was for the better, at least. He was worried about Marina being a patched member of the Hellhounds, of course, but if anyone knew how to hold their own with the big boys, it was her. Sasha, on the other hand, wasn't shy about expressing that the big change in his life wasn't making him too happy. School had always come naturally to Max but he knew the same couldn't be said for his brother.
"You know that those summer incidents weren't even your fault," Max replied knowingly, giving Sasha a significant, understanding look. "But staying light on the moonshine isn't a terrible idea. As much as I'd love to have you in the Capitol as my partner in crime, skipping school would be the one incident that was your fault and that would just be too much for the old man."
Max threw an arm around Sasha's shoulder and squeezed.
"You know I'm gonna help you with all your schoolwork, dude. You and Marina both. You'll be co-valedictorians by the time I'm through with you. Or, you know, whatever the post-apocalyptic equivalent to valedictorian is."
