Erik considered himself a neutral entity between the parties in Austin. He was separated from everyone else. Self-sufficient. He had fixed up the auto repair shop on his own and he rarely bothered to trade for supplies when he could go out and search for them on his own. The only thing that he needed to trade for was water. It was a bit of a task to find clean water in these parts. The blister gas and the rain blobs had contaminated all open water source. He was going to have to find a solution to it, but he needed the right materials for it. Unfortunately, if he had such material, they were in limited supply and his concentration was mostly spared for a cure to the virus. He wasn’t proud to admit it, but he did know how to steal water from the facility. It wasn’t something that he resorted to often (mainly out of ethics), next to a quick shower, but it wasn’t like he could depend on water bottles forever. He also just really didn’t like to ask people for water when he could get his hands on Corn Nuts instead, so he did what he had to do for both him and his companions.
“I can always use more business,” he said with an amused grin. Contemplating over the next step, Erik looked down at the slingshot in his hand skeptically. “The aim would have to be precise and the dynamite will have to fly a considerable distance,” he considered, his eyes going from the projectile to Bode, “so it depends on how much it’s worth to risk it.” He tilted his head slightly to the side. “I can always go back, make that t-shirt cannon, and we can continue this tomorrow. Or...” He held out the slingshot towards him. “You can do the honors. Between you and me, you have the better upper body strength. I can probably pull it off, but no guarantee.”
